JOHANNESBURG, Friday 29 June – Today the JSE honoured companies that have been listed on the exchange for over 60 years in a function held at the bourse.

The exchange has been in existence for 120 years and in that time has formed long lasting and healthy ties with several prestigious organisations.
Russell Loubser, CEO of the exchange, commented, “The JSE wants to commend these institutions for keeping abreast with the changes in listings rules and regulations, for practising good corporate governance, and for remaining dedicated to the task of transforming themselves for the benefit of shareholders and other stakeholders.  We are proud to have them listed on our exchange.”

The presence of these organisations, some of them giants in their sectors, has assisted the JSE in becoming a respected brand associated with high market integrity and being regarded as a mature, efficient, secure market with world class regulation, trading, clearing, settlement assurance and risk management.

“We look forward to the continuation of these long and mutually beneficial relationships with these companies and we wish them much prosperity for the future,” concluded Loubser.

End.
